The leader of our very large, talented and diverse pack, John is the Chief Executive Officer of Design Bridge and Partners worldwide. A passionate advocate for the power of design and communication in all its forms, he steers our international growth, our unique offer and our diverse client relationships with both intuition and intelligence. With his combination of advertising, branding, and design expertise, John is uniquely placed to take both an inside and outside point of view on a brand’s needs, and that inspires confidence in clients and colleagues alike.

John’s career began in the advertising industry, working for world-famous agencies including Lowe Howard-Spink and Publicis with a diverse range of clients including automotive, telecommunications and FMCG, before joining Design Bridge and Partners in 2004.

Appointed Chief Operating Officer at the beginning of 2016, John became Chief Executive Officer at the start of 2017, and helped guide Design Bridge and Partners in joining the WPP family. John has also played a significant role in establishing our studios in New York and Shanghai.

Whether at home in leafy South London or in the skyscrapers of Singapore, John somehow manages to be ever-present for every one of our Design Bridge and Partners studios, keeping our focus, curiosity and creativity energized and engaged, whatever the challenge.

Everything Emma touches turns to gold. Or copper, or neon, or a beautiful embossed silk. Because Emma has an eye for the exquisite, the inspired, the unique. And as our Chief Creative Officer Emma imparts her innate creative genius to us all, leading all the Brand Creatives across all of the Design Bridge and Partners Studios with relentless enthusiasm. 

Joining as a Studio Junior in 2000, Emma has played a fundamental role in our reputation for creative excellence. Emma has worked with a broad, challenging and enticing range of brands – everything from small entrepreneurial start-ups with a new story to tell, to prestigious global brands with a rich history – and her work has won countless international awards including D&AD, DBA Design Effectiveness, Pentawards and New York Festivals. 

Emma is a regular on the creative industry awards scene and has been a jury member for the likes of Design Week Awards and FAB Awards, and in recent years has spoken at The Pentawards Conference and London Design Festival. Gold all round.

Emma Follett

Design sits firmly at the heart of Design Bridge and Partners, and Greg is one of its champions.

For the last three decades or so, Greg has contributed massively to our reputation for creative excellence. The personal recipient of hundreds of awards (including top honours at D&AD, Cannes Lions, Clio, New York Art Directors Club, Brand impact awards) part of his role today is supporting the next generation create the work that makes a real difference.

His work spans a wide and varied range of clients including -  AirAsia, Jaguar, The Connaught, Ferrari, London Symphony Orchestra, The National Gallery and Vodafone.

He loves judging and regularly joins/ chairs international award juries. He is actively involved in supporting design education and served two terms on D&AD as a Trustee and Chair of Education.

Greg is also the co-author of a comprehensive update of ‘A Smile in the Mind’ published by Phaidon Press (a Graphic Design university course favourite) that analyses the role of wit within design, advertising and branding.

Tazza (nobody calls her Cristina) is going to tell you the truth. Forthright, insightful and restless, her one goal is to look into a brand and find just one thing— the single, inspiring truth that sets a fire in the hearts and minds of audiences.

Tazza heads up our growing strategy team with over a decade of strategic leadership experience— in advertising, comms, branding and everything in between. From the US to Europe and back again.

She uses rigorous research and critical thinking to pioneer new approaches in a rapidly evolving commercial world. Her insight and instinct inform powerful work in sectors as diverse as fintech, education and premium spirits.

Even the occasional marathon doesn’t slow her down.

Put the kettle on - because our Group Chairman at Design Bridge and Partners is a man with over 30 years’ experience in global brand design, and he’s got more than a few stories to tell.

With a background in design, Tim is passionate about the value that exceptional strategic design and creativity can bring to clients. For the past 25 years he has nurtured and developed core client relationships across our five studios, resulting in Design Bridge and Partners being agency of choice for multinational clients such as Unilever, Mastercard and Diageo. He’s a strong believer in being ‘hands on’ and as a result he’s directly involved in many of our projects on a daily basis - from local game-changers, to complex global challenges.

Tim truly champions the strong culture at Design Bridge and Partners – always pursuing creative excellence, nurturing client relationships and enabling people to do their best work. All fuelled by energy, enthusiasm and plenty of tea.

Holly leads growth across Design Bridge and Partners globally – a role with a singular mission…to grow our clients’ business. 

She joined Design Bridge and Partners, then Superunion, in 2019 from BBH where she was Managing Partner. Prior to that she held regional Business Development roles at Anomaly and isobar where she was also Head of Account Management with responsibility for clients including Google and Three. Holly held further Client Leadership roles at CHI&Partners, McCann London and McCann Bangkok working with News International, Unilever, Nestlé and Bacardi-Martini.

Holly Maguire

When you meet Tom, you know you’re going to have an interesting conversation. Because before joining Design Bridge and Partners, Tom’s creative career combined an incredible mix of roles; from product design, to teaching at Eton College, and working as both a Creative Strategist and Ethnographic Research for brands like Nokia and Electrolux. As a result, Tom’s approach is always practical-minded, solution-orientated, and above all, grounded in experience.

With 20 years spent working across a variety of sectors and disciplines, branding has remained the constant within Tom’s career, and he now leads Design Bridge and Partners’ fast-growing creative Studio in Shanghai after becoming a Founding Partner in 2018.

Tom and his team in Shanghai now help international brands adapt to the Chinese market, and domestic brands evolve for the international market. He counts Wu Liang Ye, Carlsberg and Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts amongst his current clients, with recent work being awarded at Transform Awards Asia, Pentawards and Marking Awards.

Now that’s something worth talking about.

Tom Gilbert

Birgitte knows talent when she sees it, and better yet, she knows how to foster that talent. After all, Birgitte is living proof of our commitment to growing and developing people’s skills. Starting at Design Bridge and Partners as a PA in 1991, she moved into account management via our Scandinavian team and was soon leading our then considerable business in the region.

After then heading up our Client Servicing team, working extensively on our global FMGC clients, she became our Group Brand Guardian and then Director of Culture & Talent in 2018. Her innate passion for developing talent, her instinct for best practice and her absolute commitment to our people-focused way of working makes her the perfect person to ensure Design Bridge and Partners is a great place to work.

And it’s not just people she cares for – as a dog lover, Birgitte makes sure all our furry friends are happy employees too (treats are always close at hand).

Chief People & Culture Officer

Birgitte Woehlk

Leader, mentor, challenger: Frank is the person you’ll always want in your corner. 

A natural born communicator and disruptor, he loves finding new and improved ways of bringing both the studio, and the creative industry as a whole, together to grow and deliver breakthrough design work, for better outcomes. Frank believes our increasingly fragmented industry will face a ‘people’ shortage if we don’t take a more proactive approach to finding and nurturing talent in an inclusive way. In his role as Chairman of BNO NextPack (an organisation of Dutch packaging agencies) he works tirelessly to support the next generation of design talent. 

Frank has worked in some of Amsterdam’s leading design agencies and amassed invaluable expertise across the full spectrum of design disciplines, taking to the helm of Design Bridge and Partners Northern Europe as Managing Director in 2003.  

Frank enjoys spending his limited spare time with his wife and two young daughters and driving his BMW Enduro motorbike. He is also a lover of modern art and a keen painter, although his most recent work has been restricted to the walls of his daughters renovated bedrooms.

Frank Nas

Alex fosters the entrepreneurial, client and talent-focused approach that ensures the network’s growth.

As Design Bridge and Partners’ Global Chief Financial Officer, Alex oversees finance, operations, risk management and technology.

A Chartered Accountant, he trained with KPMG in London and has worked in the WPP group—predominantly with its branding agencies—since 1999.

If money talks, Nick is our oracle. Nick has been the Chief Finance Officer at Design Bridge and Partners since 2018, helping expand our operations into new territories, and develop effective and best practice financial operations. In other words, he knows what makes the business of Design Bridge and Partners tick.

Having spent nearly 20 years in various finance roles within the media industry, Nick has been involved in countless finance projects, and at Design Bridge and Partners Nick relished the challenge of helping setup and grow our studios in New York and Shanghai.

The queen of details, Amy has turned exactitude into an artform. As one of the first recruits to our New York studio, she has been instrumental in building and defining our world-class Client Leadership Team. Keeping clients and creative in perfect sync.

A career that started in editorial journalism has flourished in the world of brand creation. Supporting clients in a range of sectors from beer to banking to bourbon, Amy has brought growth and success through professional rigor, strategic insight and a killer sense of humor.

And there’s always time for a glass of bubbles to celebrate a job well done.

Amy Golding

Rebekah is passionate about the power of creative solutions to solve business challenges and grow brands. She’s inspired by the continual evolution of technology to create impact and engagement, build long-term relationships and deliver business results. 

Rebekah leads as President of Design Bridge and Partners North America, working to drive growth across the US market alongside the broader leadership team. 

She is a highly tenured and awarded advertising and marketing industry leader. Most recently she served as Chief Growth Officer for WPP North America. Prior to joining WPP, she was the Managing Director for MullenLowe U.S., where she spent over a decade, leading brand accounts for the likes of Google, National Geographic, American Greetings and E*TRADE, and has led teams that have gone on to win at Cannes Lions, Emmys, Art Directors Club, the Effies and the One Show, amongst others. 

In addition to her agency work, Rebekah is also a staunch disability advocate and educator dedicated to creating a future where all individuals thrive and where differences are honoured and celebrated.

Rebekah Pagis

Josh is a believer that ground-breaking creativity can only be accomplished when we go beyond a traditional client-agency relationship to a true partnership that is built on mutual trust, respect, and radical candor. 

Josh has over 15 years’ experience and has collaborated with some of the world’s biggest brands helping them to build resonance and relevancy across both consumer and enterprise audiences. Having led numerous projects that target a broad spectrum of audiences, Josh understands what it takes to manage complex projects and stakeholders from start to finish. Notable clients include AB InBev, MasterCard, Verizon, Colgate-Palmolive, The Coca-Cola Company, and Beam Suntory to name a few.

Josh Griffin

From a graduate in Silversmithing and Jewellery, to Chairman of our Asia Pacific studios, Mark knows what it is to create something rare and precious.

Mark co-founded our studios in Singapore (2003), Shanghai (2017) and our representative office in Mumbai (2019). In each location he has fostered deep and lasting client relationships, an enduring team spirit, and visionary leadership – all of which have led to seventeen consecutive years of growth for Design Bridge and Partners in Asia Pacific.

He joined Design Bridge in 1993 as a Designer and worked his way up to become Client Services Director before relocating with his family to Singapore to build the agency’s first studio outside of Europe as Managing Director.

Having now lived and worked in Asia for eighteen years, and recently celebrating 30 years at Design Bridge and Partners, Mark enjoys digging deep on brand truth and cultural nuance when landing concepts for the biggest consumer brands. He also believes passionately in developing the future of the design industry in the region by creating real learning opportunities and long-term career progression for the brightest talent.

And no matter how far from London Mark finds himself, Chelsea Football Club is still the jewel in his (beautifully crafted) crown.

Mark Budden

Nikki is a woman who means business, and she thrives on making meaningful human connections and bringing purpose to brands that impact our daily lives. Responsible for the commercial development and growth of the Shanghai Studio, she still finds time to be an inspiring and motivating leader for her team.

Joining Design Bridge and Partners’ newest but fast-growing Shanghai Studio in 2020 as Managing Director, Nikki brings extensive experience across business management, marketing & PR and brand design to the team.

Her broad experience spans varied sectors including automotive, technology and retail, and she counts Kraft Heinz, Unilever, Mondelez, Mead Johnson and Huawei amongst her current clients in China.

Nikki Lin

French by heritage, life enthusiast by nature, and Lego master-builder in lockdown, Alex is an all-round champion when it comes to understanding people, building deep client relationships, and creating commercially impressive brand worlds.

With 13 years of brand design experience, working with a mix of FMCG, alcohol, healthcare and financial services brands, Alex has worked her way up the ranks of Design Bridge and Partners Singapore over the last 8 years and now leads the Studio as Managing Director. A true mentor, and enthusiast for the design process, Alex is driving commercial excellence and client success for both local boutique brands and major multi-nationals project by project, or (as she might prefer), brick, by brick.

Alex Cerrutti

Julia is a dynamic Global Client Partner with a rich, diverse professional journey spanning creative industries and international experiences. Her career is defined by a passion for building meaningful client relationships, driving business growth, and championing diversity and inclusion. 

With extensive experience managing multi-million euro marketing portfolios for global FMCG businesses, Julia brings a unique blend of curiosity, strategic thinking, and people-focused leadership. She has worked across a spectrum of agencies — from independent branding firms to large international networks — developing compelling brand narratives and delivering impactful communication strategies. 

Beyond her professional achievements, Julia is a dedicated community builder. She co-founded the WPP Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) community and established an Advisory Board focused on removing barriers for women in leadership, developing an Ally Programme that supports over 70 professionals. 

Whne not driving business success, Julia embraces an active lifestyle as an outdoorsy dog owner and mother of two teenage boys. She finds joy in challenging adventures like half marathons, mountain hikes, and mindful dog jogs, reflecting her energetic and adventurous spirit.

Julia Cole

Vincent believes that every interaction with a brand shapes our perception of it. Brands should therefore be designed holistically, user-centric, and with the customer experience in mind. 

Vincent leads Design Bridge and Partners Germany, with offices in Berlin and Munich. He has over 17 years’ experience in branding, consulting and CX design. In his career, he has worked with both DAX-30 and startup brands from various industries such as automotive, telecommunications, energy, technology, insurance and finance. In his work, he always ensures that the economic growth of his clients is at the forefront of our goal setting. 

Before joining Design Bridge and Partners, Vincent worked for Deloitte Consulting as Head of Brand Development and was responsible for the development of several new offerings, namely Neurobranding and Branded CX service portfolio. He also served as account lead for several automotive accounts. 

He has been recognised for his efforts in branding, specifically with the German Brand Award and the Red Dot Award.

Vincent Kyas

Pilar believes that the power to connect people and businesses is at the heart of any great brand.

As Managing Director of Design Bridge and Partners in Madrid, Pilar leads corporate integrated branding projects for local and international clients of key sectors in the Spain and Hispanic Latin America such as banking, insurance, airlines, energy and professional services.
Until its merger with Design Bridge, Pilar led Superunion business in Spain, and prior to that, she oversaw the launch, business and team development of Brand Union Madrid since its establishment in 2002.

After graduating in Communications, Pilar developed her entire professional career in communication, advertising and brand management within Interpublic and WPP Groups working for McCann Erickson and JWT.

She has been actively involved in branding and communication education for 20 years.

Pilar Domingo

Marcelo believes that removing the boundaries between disciplines leads to creative solutions.

Marcelo leads Design Bridge and Partners in Brazil and Latin America and works closely with the strategy, retail and creative teams, ensuring that specialists work side-by-side in an interdisciplinary approach and with an innovative way of thinking.

As the partner and co-founder of Epigram Brand Union, that later became Superunion, and now Design Bridge and Partners, he combined more than 20 years of experience in branding with an in-depth knowledge of consumer behaviour, consumer journey and sales channels.

Marcelo studied architecture and has a PhD in semiotics in the field of information technology. He also has executive education from Stanford University.

He has been awarded for his efforts in design and communication for spaces both in Brazil and abroad, specifically with the Brazilian Design Biennial, Wave Award, Globes Awards, POPAI and VMSD for Americas, among others.
